There's a world map in this game.

So I guess it's a two-handed sword.

"You know, the gang! There's me... and, uh... just trust me! There's an entire gang! And the gang controls this castle!"

"We're winning this battle by HQ capture!"

Uh, what? I haven't interfered with your plan at all.

Alright! That is the plan, I suppose!

The GIF I made kind of sucks. He starts opening and closing his mouth really fast and it makes things start shaking. Basically, think of a giant teenage girl engaging in conversation with her BFF.

Mario flees as the bridge crumbles from the force of the sword speaking much but saying little.

Oh, I'll get you, Smithy gang! Just you wait!

Mario makes a tactical withdrawal.

Bowser's Keep is now inaccessible. Oh well!

Yeah, I forgot to punch you in the face, you little bitch.

It's explaining time! One of the more charming aspects of this game - the way they have Mario act out scenes that happened to explain them to other characters. I prefer this to dialogue, to be honest.

This "explanation" is good enough for Toad. The guy might be smarter than I give him credit for if he could figure out what Mario meant with all that jumping around.

He can help us! He'll send his entire mushroom army after that Smithy guy!

Damn, bro! Watch it! I bet he talks on his cell phone while driving, too.

I told this to someone in real life when I bumped into them and you know what they did? They fuckin' laughed.

"We named our kingdom after this item, that's how good it is!"

It's an RPG, I know how items work. Also, if you choose to have him explain it, you end up using a 30 HP-restoring mushroom to heal 1 HP of damage. You keep the mushroom if you refuse the offer. The choice here is clear.

"Oh, Mario, I want to be just like you when I grow up! I want to not use doors and everything!"

It was something very important and the chancellor will have your head if you screw this up.

They're goombas, I just hop on their heads all the time...

Skipping another tutorial. You can press a button at the right time during a move's animation to amplify its effect.

Apparently this goomba also knows what timed hits are, because he knows to be scared of them. Either that or he just got trolled.

It rhymes with "smell the chancellor about Toadstool".

Good work, Toad!

He also gives you a stock of mushrooms for the road.

And that's as far as I'll be playing. Whoever's going next, have at it!
