It's Soap again! I haven't played since we left Mario's house for the Mushroom Kingdom. I'm sure a lot has changed since then!

Our post-Moleville status looks pretty good! If I were playing our levels probably wouldn't be so high, lol.

And I guess the challenge for Cannonfodder's part was to fight naked. I'll be putting this equipment back on.
Speaking of challenges, mine is to only use Mushrooms for healing. This means... no Mallow HP rain and no KeroKeroCola or other high-powered healing items.

I go into the store and sell a few old shitty weapons that we won't be needing. I also buy a couple pairs of work pants for two mystery party members who shall be joining us before too long!

I also buy five mid mushrooms. I don't know if these count as mushrooms or not for my challenge. I'll use them if I get desparate, I guess.

This guy will sell, like, three different things throughout the course of the game. They are this lucky jewel, some gem that lets you fight an optional boss, and a weapon for

I had just enough inventory space to buy the Lucky Jewel!

More like Booster Ass, amirite????
Anyway, Booster Pass is probably the least interesting area in the game. However, of note is this neat enemy, the Kriffid:

He was always one of my favorite enemies when I played this as a kid.

Also there's this side area which something later opens up. There's a Snifit #4 or some shit over there, whatever, nobody cares.

I love how big these things are on the field.

There's also a switch that turns these enemies into coins so I don't have to fight them. Right, okay.

And that was Booster Pass. Seriously, that was all of it.

that's...!

It is now property of the Smithy Gang.

"...me getting utterly dominated by Mario and sobbing for the next week because nothing I do EVER WORKS..."

No! Dad! It's not what it looks like!

I guess we're to assume this is just a stage whisper or a stream of consciousness or something and that Mario isn't hearing any of this. Or maybe we're not supposed to assume that and we are instead supposed to assume that Bowser's being silly! I think this game was what gave him his new place as a comic relief character. Still not sure how I feel about that.

I'm not sure how these two statements are related.
Also, the keen will notice a pair of eyes in the doorway! I wonder what's up with that?
Meanwhile, atop Booster's tower...

A princess stands on a balcony. She stands, hands over her face, crying a river for an unknown reason.
What will the name of this lovely princess be?

Kind of nice running into her and Bowser in the same place, I guess!

Is she allowed to request a rescue multiple times in one game?

"Now I just need to take her from this castle to my castle, and all is well once again!"

Oh, he only wanted to find her. He didn't actually want to recapture her. What.

I didn't screencap it but Bowser says "outta my way, shortie!" and stomps the ground, knocking Mario aside.

Well gee, I wish I had a way to break the door down!

oh HAI bowser~

Oh, okay, if you insist!

oh, Bowser! Wherever would we be without you~? :swoon:

that SLANDEROUS TROLL, Always TWISTING My Words Around like That.

This means when his back is turned, we make funny faces at him.

"Bowser"

There's that creepy guy in the door again!

Also, strangely, my emulator messes up when I try to equp things onto Bowser. You can't tell from this picture, but I'm unable to move the cursor or anything. This eventually goes away but I end up paranoid about it for the rest of my turn. Expect more references to it!
