What are your summer plans?
Who needs plans?

A few days ago in computer class, we didn't have any real work to do and the teacher didn't want to assign a project since we're so close to the end of the year, so he told us to write a one page paper on what we're doing this summer. I don't plan my summers out ahead of time (I usually end up sitting around playing video games for two months), so I instead wrote this bullshit essay about how Benjamin Franklin invented "summer breake". It was pretty hilarious, I wish I still had it.

-Krem

I'm that way...I don't really plan out my summer. It's usually just baseball and random crap in between. Mostly video games.

-SV

COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

Eh, I don't have that many plans for this summer. I'm probably going to swim a lot at a friend's house and hit on girls a lot because I'm desperate. I know I'll be visiting my dad's house a lot and be spending pretty much all of my time online. At the end of summer, though, is Otakon. It's going to punch your cat in the neck, man! I'm going as Luffy on Friday and Janus from Chrono Trigger on Saturday. I'm gonna be staying with one of my old friends, Ryan Kim(he posted as Mr. Smartypants on the old forum and still posts at starmen.net I think) and I'm probably going to be TOTALLY ROCKING with my friends at Wonderland Azumanga Daioh Forums, since pretty much all of them are going. I am the best person in the world.

-Wally

I guess we'll be seeing a lot of you on IRC. You'll definitely be seeing me there seeing as I plan on having quite a bit of spare time. I wish we were going to a baseball tournament in Florida this year...no checking out hot girls in swimsuits for me. :(

Have fun at the Otakon; if I was into anime I would probably be one of those people who dressed up. Too bad I suck.

-SV

>.>

For your information, my stuff is 100% real. I've obtained with my vast wealth. Which I got through my new religion, GSGoldiantiy. My summer plans are to go on an amazing virtual reality trip. I'll travel to Moscow to Wocsom and all the other continents in between. It'll be awesome.

-GSGold

Some of the things you say are hard to reply to. Like this...I'm just not going to say anything.

-SV

HOLY CRAP

Rick's gonna come here and we're gonna go on a date to watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory when it comes out! :D

-Static2007

But...I though Rick was going to see that with me!

I'm going to go cry now.

-SV

*sob*

I'm gonna bum around and do nothing. Too bad I don't get my liscence until August.

However I do have a job and money, so I can defenatly have some fun this sommer even without being my own transportation. And I'm going to Toronto at the end of June, that should be fun. Other then that, being a bum is pretty much it that I'm currently aware of. Come to Canada and kidnap me.

-stareyE

*crying*

-SV

Dumb Question!

Besides a trip to Texas and another trip to Albany, I intend to sit my fat ass on my computer chair and engage in electronic mayhem, gaming, and awesome japanese music with a touch of Stephen Lynch. Maybe I'll get off and do some console gaming or watch T.V.- who knows?

-Inspector Messiah

*sniffle*

Well, most likely you are the one who would know whether or not you're going to do something. But seriously, random is the way to go.

-SV

DS

I plan to work at a summer job so I can afford a DS. Oh, DS, how I long for you and your plethora of games. Your touch screen, your buttons in all the right places. And your built-in microphone.

See, I can make anything sound attractive.

-Emperor Bambi

Actually, I don't want a DS right now. I plan to buy a PS2 while I'm in college to take advantage of awesome/older and newer Playstation games while avoiding the apparently bad newer PS3 and established horror of the shit...er X-box.

My first deviation from Nintendo...I am sorry. Not really.

PS: I never buy brand new systems or games. Ever. Tales of Symphonia is the only exception.

-SV

Take this up with my mother

Go to Florida for a week, work at my dad's shop, visit your mom, work out, train for football :D.

No seriously tell you're mom I'll see her later :D ;)

-UnbrokenTorment

I'm planning on taking trip this summer to meet all the POS members. Where do you live? I really want to beat the shi-...er, meet you! Really, I don't mind the "your mom" jokes! Seriously! The bat's in my truck because I play baseball...(with your face)...

-SV

Pimpin, fool

I cant quite remember if I replied already due to this spazmatic memory issues I have... I keep having NAM flashbacks...

Anyway Im going to see Static in july. depending on how much cash I got it might be 7 days....

Or me and SV could go on a pimping POS accross america either this year or next year since we dont have alot of moneys

-Rick

You heard the man! Everyone send money to me so my summer can rock! I need moneies to make the crazy awesome trip across North America to meet POS people!

-SV

This week in review.

Figures that again, most of us will continue to be lazy computer nerds. The occasional trip outside serves only to keep you up to date with latest in air pollution and to see if EB has any new games in the used games bin.

Don't forget to reply to next week's mailbag!

Who's your favorite band/singer?
What?

I gotta pick one? I can't pick just one! Um... I guess I'll pick... Queen! No, no wait... Danny Elfman/Oingo Boingo? No... Ooh! Final answer is Rhapsody! I think...

-Static2007

Well, I recognize Queen. I'm just wondering about Oingo Boingo...

-SV

fooP

I don't listen to very much music, but I've been trying to expand my horizons lately. My favorite band at this point is Devo. A freind of mine lent me a Warren Zevon CD recently, that guy's pretty cool.

-Krem

I used to only listen to country music, but now it sucks. I really want to find some good music to listen to. Anti has helped some. He sent me a Devo CD...it's okay.

-SV

Awesome

I have no favorite band. I have a special set of headphones that generate only the most awesome music. No matter what mood I'm in, it will always create the best possible music for how I am feeling. I'd put it on a CD but none of you deserve to listen to music of this awesome.

-GSGold

That would seriously be a cool product, but your ideas suck and aren't real. And you suck, but you're real so we can hit you in the face. When I take my road trip this summer I'm going to come by your house and hit you in the face. And take all your cool stuff.

-SV

Zapdos

It depends on how Im feeling but overall I listen to TMBG pretty much everyday with their wide variety of songs both silly/wacky and oddly serious where a crazy bastard wants to hit him. How can you not listen to wearing a raincoat and not wonder what the fuck they were smoking when they wrote that. each week I have a new favorite song

this weeks favorite of mine is thunderbird

-Rick

Yeah, TMBG really does rock. I really like "Don't Let's Start" and "Til My Head Falls Off". I've never heard Thunderbird...

-SV

Ska

omflololwtgfiferyanfranzy. The object of my musical obsession would be Five Iron Frenzy. They're a crazy ska band that sings about their pants, it doesn't get much more awesome then that. Seriously.

Ohther bands I listen to a lot would include Brave Saint Saturn, Less Than Jake, The Aquabats, They Might Be Giants, Skillet, Roper, The OneUps, The O.C. Supertones, and against my will, a lot of country music. My whole family listens to it all the time and I can't stand it. :(

-stareyE

I'm sorry you have to listen to modern country music. Your other choices for music interest me...I must investigate.

-SV

He is cool

Well, You know I've got several so I'll be talking about a few of my very fondest.

Well, the band I listen to most often is called "Belle and Sebastian" which is a twee pop group from my favorite country Scotland. It's hard to explain why i love them so, but they're great story tellers, they make great pop compositions and the two singer's voices are very soft and personal.

I also love old Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, as you know, at first i was feeling iffy about him because of his political messages, but him and his band just kick so much ass that I'm willing to let it slide.

Some others, with brief statements, PJ Harvey is a female rocker with a passionate voice and a mean guitar, Cat Power is a woman with a hell of a soulful voice and awesome songs, Neko Case is the only country artist I'll ever need, and Mirah is the most genious folk artist I've evere heard.

o.o I have more but I'll stop here.

-Anti

I knew you'd reply to this one. You are probably the most passionate person on this site when it comes to music. Music has always been a background type thing for me; that's probably why I like to listen to VG music or just have some randome crap on Winamp while I'm doing about 5 other things like updating Mailbag. I know your taste in music is a little different than mine, but I like some of the stuff you posted in that one topic. You should keep posting stuff.

-SV

This week in review.

Thanks for representing your favorite music here on mailbag! I might be less of a loser now, but I doubt what I listen to will affect that. Anyway, you guys are cool.

Don't forget to reply to next week's mailbag!

Looks like they've got some internet leaking out onto their pages!

Crazy nerds! They need to call a plumber for that.

I laughed when I read those again. They're probably my favorites. It would have been neat if that topic had continued, I had some good creativity going there.

-Krem

I like that reply you made to the topic. Oh well, this topic sucked ass anyways. There are several other methods you could have chosen to used to communicate your message. Try one next time.

Get steve in here I need a translation from computer geek to lifeless hobo so I can read it

Soap and steve's site o' joy. I just saw the url and thought it was funny.

How lame is Rick?
Good times.

Rick's actually pretty cool. There was that one time he did that one thing, yeah, but I forgive him. We all do.

-Krem

GSGold> Does anyone remember that time when we chatted.
GSGold> that was awesome.
Soap> ah you mean that one day
Soap> and those people were here
Soap> yeah
GSGold> Yeah
Soap> i remember that

-SV

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Fuck you

-Rick

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

-SV

Who's the lame now, dog?

Rick is this lame! *stretches arms out* And let it be noted I have like a six foot armspan.

Rick is lame because whether he's right almost got a point or wrong, he can still ban the crap out of you. Or actually me I guess, he probably can't do that to you.

I also have to bring up again that fun time that me and Krem won and Rick lost. Kinda. I'll have to ask Krem if he still has those comics, seeing as the whole toic was cast into the abyss.

In closing, I look good in red.

-stareyE

You're awesome for writing html tags into your own entry, saving me the effort.

When I read "toic" I thought it was an acronym or something, but after a few minutes I realized it was a typo of "topic". You get a few awesome points deducted for that. You also lose a few points for the grammar mistake. "Krem and I", fool.

-SV

Pun

I dunno, where did he get injured?

(when someone gets injured below he waist, some pople say they "came up lame" ;) )

-RPGMaker

I figure most people know what lame means. If they don't, they're lame.

-SV

Exactly

Rick? lame? Since when? I think the only lame one here is Jacob.

(I'm kidding, I still love you. In a friendly way.)

-Allthesmallthings

He's been lame since April 28, 1986.

-SV

Math r fun

Lame times negative five, I tell ya. I dunno if you were joking or not so SERIOUS APPLYMENT!i1 Rick is teh rockiest persona on POS! I luffs him like a brother. Wait, no I don't, brothers suck. I love him like a good friend and stuffs. He is funny, inspirational, understanding and hard working. Spifforlorlica! Eat 'em up, Dan Man!

-StarKirby

I don't know what the hell all that says, but I think it's a good thing. Hold on...I think my math nerd side is calling...

Lame and awesome are opposites, awesome being the positive and lame the negative. Negative awesomeness = lameness, negative lameness = awesomeness. Although I don't have an exact number on it, lame times -5 = negative lameness = awesomeness. I guess...

-SV

Um...

Very lame. Very, very, very lame. I could do any job he could but better. He's such a serious business man. Whever I think of Rick or read something he typed, I think of the voice as an 80 year old general trying not to cough. Yeah, Rick is downright LAMEO and GSGold is the NEW HIP THING TO BE WITH.

P.S. go join my religion.

-GSGold

"Don't worry, nothing you say can be used against you by Rick."

I really can't guarantee that. Maybe I should have mentioned that earlier.

-SV

LAME

I don't know about you, but Rick wasn't the one that put the update for "Saturday, April 30." <.< Expect us to have some sort of time machine or something?

-Static2007

I know quite a bit about me and I was the one who forgot to change the due date for the mailbag. Y'all should know it's updated every weekend anyway. And I'm sure GS has a time machine for sale. GET ONE. Next week's mailbag is due two weeks ago!

-SV

Defining lame

And now for my serious post. Rick is lame for being overbearing and mean towards those he doesnt like and being partial and bending the rules with those he does. Rick is lame for staying here so long when people tend to not take him seriously just because he's got nothing else to do.

Rick is lame because he doesnt post on other peoples writing when he expects them to post on his. Rick is lame for thinking he's better than everyone else here even though he clearly isnt and its just someone trying to get attention for himself.

Rick is lame for not updating but acting like he's the only one. Rick is lame for listening to other peoples problems but not really listening only acting like he does then guessing a solution which most of the time never works. Rick is lame for lieing so often to his family and friends. Rick is lame for being a white christian conservitive in a libral world. Rick is lame for not studying as much as he should be and then lieing about it to not get in trouble.

Rick is lame for telling his friends he'll call them on the phone and tell them when they can hang out and not talking with them for a month. Rick is lame because he believes that you can love someone you never met. Rick is lame because he'll spend one thousand dollars to proove it by meeting the person. Rick is lame because he acts like he doesnt have the time of day to show his father how to use a computer after he worked all day just to pay for food and rent through no help by Rick.

Rick is lame because he cares. Rick is lame because he doesnt care. Rick is lame because he doesnt even try anymore.

Love

Lame queer Emo kid Rick

-Rick

Scott is lame for trying to help people when he has no clue how to.
Scott is lame for always getting power over someone who would probably do better with it than him and then doing almost nothing to make good use of it himself.
Scott is lame for acting respectful to people when he really doesn't give a fuck.
Scott is lame for not living how he always tries to advise others to live.
Scott is lame for loving a girl when he's not even sure if she loves him back.
Scott is lame for making time for unnecessary things but finding something else to do when something that needs to be done comes up.
Scott is lame because he doesn't have the common sense to know when to be serious and when to just kick back and have fun.

No one's perfect, but somehow we manage to get over that and have a good time with our friends.

-SV

This week in review.

This topic was just a joke, but it's possible to be serious sometimes. Rick is awesome, so if he can understand and get a laugh out of this mailbag, you can too. And I will change the due date thing this time.

Don't forget to reply to next week's mailbag!
