We still play this game so we still need this thread!

Standard Lackey link

The Magic plugin is up to date with Magic 2013 Core Set and all that jazz.

(10:15:09) (LLCoolDave) Wonder if we should do a custom card draft again sometime
(10:15:33) (@KennyMan666) I would be all on that

I'm straight, and I don't like insinuations that I'm not straight. It's easy to say "not that there's anything wrong with that", but for me, I'm straight, so there is something wrong with me being gay, that being that I'm not gay. I'm proud of being straight and the idea of being gay goes against my biological wiring.

After the talk on IRC about custom card sets I went and finished a set based on cycles I started around a year ago.
... I would never be accepted as a card designer for Wizards of the Coast.
No images because I'm lazy.

I carefully picked out 45 cards from my Touhou set and tweaked some of them to replace mechanics that doesn't make sense without the cards being in the full set. Might be done. Will look over it again.

But with this, that set has pretty much gone full circle: It started life as my second 45-card custom draft set, then got a little out of hand and grew to a full-and-then-some set (200+ cards now, but not all of them actually designed yet)... and now I've picked out the 45 "best" (or something) ones to make up one custom draft set.

Well, there you go.

First, I use italic text for sorcery, instant, and enchantment spells, but not for creatures, planeswalkers, artifact, or lands (or at least not usually). Second, the reason that I do that is because they are "special" words. In my years of life, I have learned that the names of works of fiction, whether they are illustrations, books, movies, television series, songs, or video games, need to be written in italic text to display that they are names of works of art; for example, one of each category: The Scream, A Game of Thrones, The Empire Strikes Back, The Big Bang Theory, Master of Puppets, and Commander Keen. I also use italic text for foreign words in my writing: i.e., "¡Buenos dias, señor!" or "Ohayo, oji-san!"; for names of spells, techniques, or abilities when referring to fictional works: i.e., fireball (the Dungeons & Dragons spell), kage bunshin no jutsu (from Naruto), or ki (the Japanese word for "energy"); or for items or vehicles: i.e., Zanpakutō (from Bleach) or the starship Enterprise. Therefore, by that logic, I would italicize the word "battleship" when referring to the board game of that name, but not when referring to an actual vehicle (although I would italicize the name of a specific battleship: i.e., the U.S.S. John F. Kennedy), and I would italicize "Flames of the Firebrand" but not "Chandra, the Firebrand."

lol.

This guy makes even my grammar nazi days seem tame.

Internet nickname for this card: "lol troll". Seriously, that's what everyone calls it already.

I did FNM and three Return to Ravnica prereleases in the past 24 hours. It was fun. I am tired. It is bedtime.

Pretty cool. So next turn you have at least 12 mana and your entire library at your disposal. And since if you're casting that you probably made infinite mana anyway... shit's gonna go down.
