December 2nd [Poem] Flicker
« on: December 02, 2012, 06:34:01 AM »

This will all fade
Eventually,
The once-crucial distance between
Transistors rigorously
Outmoded or

Outmotioned when the world came apart
At its seams, but either way,

We'll need to cope with a new reality:
Someday this forum won't be here,
But the connections we made on it will linger like

Spiders' silk holding the autumn leaves in place,
A memoir memento reminding me only now
That I can talk to KennyMan666, only now realize
He was a person half a planet away
And that someday this will break down --

No more fests and mafia,
Every new idea dead on arrival when the
Medium is absent;
POS torn and gone,
And you'll be left wondering,
When was even the last time we had a realtalk thread,
Or I remembered what anyone really looked like?

This will all power down eventually,
Cold and impersonal -- just idleness
Or a magnetic breeze, so start the season remembering it:

POS was here

EDIT: I realize this isn't much of anything but I only had like two day notice and am brainstorming hard for my other days so don't you worry we will blow you out of the water yet  :toot:

It'll happen eventually; I have little doubt about that. We'll find ways to keep in contact with each other, though.
