No, they were the same in GSC, but raised to 9 for Pidgey and 13 for Pidgeotto in HG/SS.

And yeah my plan was to get Rock Throw and easily ruin Falkner's shit with that. That didn't happen because I was looking at the wrong generation of Onix on Bulbapedia. But this way it became an exciting battle! Though mud slap would probably have ruined my shit anyway.

oh h   h      h

Who do we know with glasses? O_O

the kid is not my son

We need to make room for the egg, so I deposit the non-POSer. Sorry, POXNOR, this is a themed party now!!

Hi, I'm Daisy!

Better heal up before I head out and see what that guy was blocking off. It's probably dangerous to go alone!

 :ohreally:

The abusive man from earlier gives us a gift this time instead.

taking off for class soon, should start putting up the white meat tonight now that I figured out all of the progams and webspace etc. that goes into the imagefest

Give me 32 good reasons not to take Route 32

This is the team!! I don't like the odd numbers. Odd numbers are bad, so I'm going to round them out as we go.

If he looks the other way, I can squeak by!!

tough enough to tussle

Boys Named Albert

Swap a worm out for a bigger worm

ROCKY tackles the situation

ROCKY is bamboozled by the weird, eyeless Zubat

this happens a lot, lessening my faith in the intelligence of rocks

ROCKY remembers who to attack and lands a good one, handily finishing off the trainer

I'm also attractive

No, you're far more annoying than average

In the grass we find a repellant for the grass !!

I hate to interrupt butt

She only has one Pokemon, this will be easy !!

I'm letting WENDY lead but switching her out for that sweet, sweet EXP

usually switching to this BAMF

perfect frame capture of Wooper disintegrating or ... something

WENDY can take care of herself, finally !!

this has to be a bargain, right

An Ekans happened !!

I was merciful.

 :guh-huh:

Treasure !! But at a price ...

I have to take this call !! YOUNGSTER JOEY might be in trouble !!

The boring continues. I won't bore you with it

Still balancing the party !!

Go Wendy Go  :fitin:

The worm is evolving !! Everyone pay attention to the small worm

Roundin' out the corners

Uh oh! Let's watch for loose hooks

Henry is an awful name and he should feel awful

I see this screen a lot during this fight. SLP does not play nice with me !!

bubbly dubbly

Off-camera, the wasp-in-waiting gains another level

I  see a lot of these leaves fly across my screen fighting these fishers

I won!

but the future refused to change

Whoa! Let's take it easy, and insert a post break

Time to get this Pokeshow on the Pokeroad

my item senses are tingling

Who needs an ITEM FINDER when you've got pure instinct?

"You beat FALKNER?"
I took his badge, then I took his life. Such is the way of the PokeWarrior

I'm pretty sure those bird cages aren't regulation pokemon containers.

this one ended predictably

but this one didn't! Rocky seems to think he knows better than I do...

union cave? no wonder it smells so bad in here

A pokemon ambushed me as soon as I walked up to this item! they're getting smarter

gotta catch the mall

time to rock this bitch

...What the hell? Stick the gameplan, Rocky!

Well I don't to risk killing the thing. I'll let Wendy soften it up a

little

bit. :shame:

*slides bloodied burlap sack behind rock w/ foot*

i forgot to use harden so i could make a between a rock and a hard place joke so just use your imagination

I'd say I feel sorry for you but I'm just flabbergasted that that con worked on anyone

That's quite a problem you have there. I hope you're not overly mad about it.

Too bad, chump. Looks like your Pokemon

:smokin:

choked.

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

The good news keeps coming.

Soaprman has gone from the 3rd most useless poke in the team (after the egg and Wendy) to the most powerful! Good work, Soapy!

Another booby-trapped item. The hunter has truly become the hunted

Alright Soap, let's see what you can do!

sugoi

Well, at least it will be easy to capture.

#fml

And if you've got The Bible, the world isn't scary

Rock beats fire[1]

[1] http://thefuntimesguide.com/images/blogs/rockpaperscissors.jpg

YOU WILL FOLLOW THE ORDERS I GIVE YOU, ROCKY

YOU'RE A LOOSE CANNON

I'LL HAVE YOUR BADGE FOR THIS

But I suppose you do get results.

i am not leaving this cave without a new poke g*damn it

There we go.

I know just what to do with this guy...

It seems like it was you, Kenny.... what the hell, Kenny? Do you grind like that all the time? How the hell do you ever run into the "won't listen" line?

No. Like I said, I leveled the Onix up to 9 because I was looking at the wrong table and thought level 9 would get me a move that would be good to have for what I wanted to do. It didn't, so I said "fuck that" and stopped. Seriously, level 12? Remember, it's traded, so that's both boosted EXP for it and higher probability for it to not listen. If it had been used normally it would have been level 12 before we got the Hive Badge anyway.

We're skipping Sprout Tower. We're hardcore secquence breakers. Just like those Metrode guys.

Actually I expected that whoever was after me was going to do it. I should probably have done it to level various parts of the party before doing Falkner (or, rather, done it and left Falkner to the next person), but I wanted to be living on the edge.
