I use all of 2 of my desktop icons on a regular basis. Perhaps I should remove 90% of them.

I don't use any of the icons on my desktop.  I just stick everything in the quicklaunch menu, so those icons are just put there automatically by stuff and I'm too lazy to get rid of them.
