I fixed avatar resizing... for images that are too large, it now downloads them and resamples them. I tried it on Spat's and it worked well. Note that doing this causes it to be a local image rather than a remote image.

If you use a random avatar and the first one it sees is over the size limit, it will do this and not link to your URL anymore. So beware!

I believe in not changing a winning concept.

Yeah, I didn't remember to remove those. Might as well leave them for dumb factor... indeed, they are horribad. Like, they would even look awful on the default skin that ships with the forum where the column beside your post is filled with shitty icons and profile text.

consider the following: if you leave the default avatars in the system then there will be a non-zero chance that a spambot will post as fred durst
